What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

The Sender Free 110 comes back unchanged for the 2026 test and it’s just as good as I remembered it being from the 2025 test. It’s an incredibly stable ski that just seems to hold you in your line regardless of the snow conditions and without too much effort from the skier. It’s not the most forgiving in a traditional sense but it’s easy to ski it hard with demanding inputs at high speeds. It’s certainly a step up in power and aggressiveness compared to the smaller Sender Free 100 and I whole heartedly prefer the 110 for that reason.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

This is a true Freeride ski that’s wants to be in the steepest fall lines and biggest features available. Feels good in a variety of snow conditions but the softer the better.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

This is an advanced ski for people who are able to and are willing to stand on it and charge.

These skis smear and float like a surf board! Crazy fun! They don’t carve well, but they are a 110, they don’t need to. Stable when you point them, and they slash any shape you want.

This is my dream ski. Wide enough to ski powder, not too wide to ski every day. It’s also the ideal freeride ski, the progressive mount and optimal tip and tail rocker make it want to catch air and do tricks. It’s also stiff enough the plow through anything.

Freeride terrain. Powder, cliff, natural airs, it was built to freeride.

Advanced to expert. An advanced skier won’t be over equipped and an expert skier with love this. It’s good enough for a handful of the best pro free riders in the world.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

Wow, this ski is fun. Playful freeride skiers will love this thing for how energetic it is in variable terrain, the more features the better! It’s light enough on the feet to bounce from turn to turn but enough power with the metal sheet in the construction to hammer in the fall line when you ask the ski to point down hill.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

The Sender Free 110 is a killer choice trails like Lookout here at Stowe. Enough play to be super confident on features and in the air but with more than enough power to hold onto the landings. It wants to bounce and pop from soft pocket to soft pocket in a really intuitive way. Tighter trees were really intuitive on the ski as well, the shape moves edge to edge really quickly when you ask it to be maneuverable. I did not really enjoy it in the groomed terrain. It was more than serviceable but the ski loses the character that makes it so inspiring on the freeride terrain when on flatter more consistent pitches. I could easily get into a high edge and hold a carve but the ski feels dead while doing so. Keep it steep, keep it fall line and pop of of everything for a good time on the Sender Free 110.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

This ski is actually very approachable considering the amount of power it has on tap when asked to be skied aggressively. I think most intermediate skiers would have fun in this ski, maybe in a shorter length though. Advanced and expert skiers who favor a fun yet aggressive skiing style are best suited to this ski.

If you could change anything about these skis, what would you change and why?

I struggle to point out anything I’d want the ski to do differently. I might achieve some of the energy I was lacking on the groomers with a different layup and construction but I don’t need this ski to be good on that style of terrain. The Sender Free 110 has everything it needs to be excellent in the terrain it’s designed for; fast, freeride and fall line!

It is definitely a powder/ freeride ski. It likes to go fast and will take anything that you can throw at it. It also handles surprisingly well at slower speeds for how supportive it is.

A strong, blasting powder ski. Still quite quick in the tight soft trees. Prefers to smash soft bumps rather than ski them like a narrower ski. It’s a heavy ski so a touch fatiguing but surprisingly versatile.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

Fresh snow, soft chop. Pow day ski that you can ski the rest of the day in the chop given how strong it is and relatively good edge hold for its width. There are certainly more manuverable and manageable east coast pow skis.

Advanced up. It’s a strong heavy ski. Great, but beefy.

The ski felt a little short for a 186cm, which is weird because it's so wide and so heavy that it should feel big. Could be the mount-point? I'd likely keep this size, though - anything larger would be a massive board to move around.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

I've skied this twice now - once in hardpack conditions at Crested Butte and once in pow at Stowe. Both times I was left thinking "I would never buy this ski because it's so dead and lifeless." I think Rossi designed these to straightline charge down stuff - wide open terrain, not too many obstacles with a strong, skilled skier behind the wheel. That's not my style, so this ski leaves me wanting to get on something else.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

Open terrain skied at speed seems to be where this would be at home. The tighter trees of Vermont aren't really it's sweet spot. Same with the steeper tight lines in Crested Butte - it took a lot to move these boats around. Open stuff at speed are their sweet spot because they're stable as hell - but that also means they feel like planks.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

I'd recommend these to a strong advanced skier who likes to go fast and doesn't wanna turn too much. They'd give pretty much anyone else a ride due to their weight and stiffness profile. The only saving grace seems to be that you can press into the tail pretty easily and break them loose (tails are kinda stiff but pretty rockered). So you can escape a turn if you really need to.

I'd probably make them lighter so they might be a bit more manoeuvrable.

The Rossignol Sender 110 Free is another standout ski from the test. A charger that can do everything, incredibly fun in the powder and steeps. Turn it up to 11 because this ski wants to go fast and explore any terrain you may encounter. Very quick edge to edge for a ski of this width, still tackles groomers with confidence.

Definitely a freeride oriented ski, this ski is at home in the powder, packed pow and off piste. Also skied surprisingly well on the packed powder groomers.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

It is hard not to like the Sender Free 110's as they are basically what I have always wanted in a wider ski: not too wide, decent amount of tip and tail rocker, twin tip, central mount point, playful and loose but something that still has some gumption to it. I want a ski that I can play around with on every run but it still needs to feel stable when I want to let em run. These skis seem to fit that bill about as well as any others that I have tried in the category.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

These skis would be a contender as my daily driver out west but I could also see myself having a good time on them whenever the snow is soft in Vermont. They really seem to shine in roomier terrain due to their build and sidecut but their rocker profile, air tip construction and central mount point keep them relatively quick and playful. I had a blast navigating the tight crags and open terrain around Stowe on them during our snowy test week.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

An advanced intermediate to expert skier looking for a pow/ soft snow ski that they can ski fast while maintaining a looser, more playful style. The central mount point and rocker profile give these skis a playful feel but the build and profile demand some knowhow.

If you could change anything about these skis, what would you change and why?

These Senders are about spot on in regards to my skiing style and preferences but I would like to see a little more taper in the tips to enhance their tree skiing capabilities. My western self might say otherwise however as their shape would suit more vast terrain quite nicely.

I was very excited to try this ski as it is one that very much suits my style of skiing and was not disappointed. Very maneuverable and forgiving yet strong and stable at speed. The tails were a little difficult to release at certain points but other than that they were a blast. Somewhat soft longitudinally but stable and strong torsionally.

Purely freeride, backcountry, big mountain, and obviously powder. Loads of float, agile, stable, and playful.
