Like all Stockli skis, the Nela 88 incorporates a ton of tech to achieve a very high performance feel. Stockli starts with their Light Core with Softflex technology to keep the weight of the ski down while also ensuring a more supple and dynamic flex pattern. Freeride Tip Technology utilizes a lightweight insert in the tip of the ski to mitigate vibration and keep the swing weight down, allowing for maximum maneuverability and float in soft snow, and a smooth, damp feel on hardpack. 2 sheets of Titanal provide strength and stability, and Stockli very cleverly uses one layer of Titanal as the topsheet, reducing the overall weight of the ski and giving it a unique and beautiful look.

Things to consider:

Stockli skis are hand made in Switzerland, and as such they carry a premium price tag, making them quite a bit more expensive than comparable skis within their category. While it’s true you get what you pay for, not everyone has the budget for hand made skis, so if cost is a consideration for you, keep looking.
