2027 Black Crows Junius Skiswith Atomic Colt 7 Bindings

The 2027 Black Crows Junius with Atomic Colt 7 Bindings is a junior-friendly all-mountain ski built to inspire confidence in young skiers just starting their skiing journey. With a forgiving flex, intuitive shape, and lightweight construction, the Junius is perfect for building fundamentals while keeping things fun across groomers and light off-piste terrain.

Why we like it:

It’s simple: this ski helps kids succeed. With a lightweight feel, soft flex, and predictable turn initiation, the Junius makes learning smooth and enjoyable. It’s the kind of ski that grows with a child’s skills and encourages them to explore more of the mountain with every lap.

Who it's for:

Best for beginner to intermediate junior skiers learning to carve, control speed, and venture off the bunny slope. Whether they’re linking their first turns or starting to dip into mixed terrain, the Junius supports steady, skill-building progression.

Highlights:

The Junius features a classic camber profile underfoot for grip and stability, paired with early-rise rocker in the tip for easy turn initiation and smoother rides in softer snow. Its cap construction keeps the ski lightweight and forgiving, while a 76 mm waist delivers responsive edge-to-edge handling. A directional shape helps maintain predictability, which is ideal for newer skiers.

Things to consider:

This ski is focused on ease and learning. More advanced junior skiers with stronger skills or more aggressive skiing styles may find it lacking in edge hold or stability at speed and might consider stepping up to the Camox Junior.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis true to size. Younger, lighter, or more cautious kids may benefit from a shorter length for improved control. Confident or fast-growing skiers can size up for added stability and room to grow.
