These are playful and easily edgeable. Not enough ski for the hard pack.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

These are nice for groomers with some powder/packed powder.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Beginner to intermediate will do fine on these. They are easy to initiate a turn and very forgiving.

Anything else you want to tell us about your experience on these skis?

I’d like to try the next length up, I think they would respond a little better.

This is a sweet ski but might be better suited on the west coast. It’s lacking some maneuverability and playfulness even though I know it would plow though chop and crud. It held an edge and made some nice big turns.

Wide open mixed conditions. Crud and chop and heavy snow.

This skied perhaps true to length, but definitely felt short for me and I came close to overskiing them. I would size up.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

This skis like a stiffer and less versatile Mantra M7 to me. Has basically one turn shape that it likes to do — and can totally rail it — but was a little hard to turn in moguls on Liftline (though they were admittedly in bad shape today), make quick turns on the edge of the trail, not a super poppy ski, not a lot of energy return. What it was was incredibly damp and stable, great edge grip on ice for how wide it was, and could really fly if you opened up the throttle.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

It doesn’t really feel that free ride-y to me, I wouldn’t take it in super technical terrain which requires compensating and adjusting your line on the fly, probably a decent pow ski but I couldn’t assess.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Advanced-expert and up, I was definitely feeling its demands at the end of day 3 of the ski test on tired legs.

Anything else you want to tell us about your experience on these skis?

Whyyyy don’t I like the Sheeva! So brutal. It’s just not really free ride-y and also like not versatile. I felt like the Sheeva 9 was a bit of a GS turn railer, and the 10 is too but it’s just that much harder to roll up on edge, yet also less forgiving in bumps.

I own these and love them. A good Stowe day unless it’s early season with no snow at all maybe. It’s a bit heavy for trees maybe, but bumps, chunder with the inevitable firm spots it’s reliable, playful forgiving without giving out on ice.

All mountain, would be so fun for big fast turns on a groomer day. Extra metal up the edges but not in the middle gets a smooth a quick transition.

Advanced or expert. The ski will power through with you. The construction keeps the stability you need when crushing through rough stuff.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

My initial feeling was that they were too wide for me for east coast mostly, but they skied so well! Loved them. The need to split the skis for the gondola ride up is a negative, but not that big of a deal. Cool simple color & graphics are a positive. They are not chattery, they charge through sludge & more challenging varied ski conditions. The width makes them less poppy for quick turning, but they charge through the sludge very well. The floating front tips would probably feel great in powder too!

Mixed snow and deeper powder.

It’s hard to put my thumb on it. I love this ski. It’s a great weight and just feels smooth and I don’t have to work them. This ski just makes you have a great day.

Everywhere. Groomers, ungroomed, steeps, trees, hard pack, I’d go wider for powder but really this ski can do 98%.

Intermediate and advanced but I think beginner too… because it’s so smooth. Maybe a beginner would need something a little softer. This ski opens up and playful. Great all mountain driver.

Wouldn’t change it but would go wider underfoot for deep powder.
