DESCRIPTION

The 2027 K2 Blur XT is a high-speed carving machine built for skiers who love pushing the pace on firm snow. With a race-inspired shape, powerful construction, and razor-sharp precision, the Blur XT delivers the smooth, intuitive turn initiation and edge hold you need to go fast and stay in control. This is frontside performance without compromise. This is a ski that's tuned for precision and engineered for fun.

Why we like it:

It’s lightning-quick edge to edge, dead-stable at speed, and has that addictive, locked-in feel when you lay it over. A true groomer weapon.

Who it's for:

Advanced to expert skiers who want a high-performance frontside ski with serious grip and energy. Perfect for those who treat every groomer like a GS course.

Highlights:

The Blur XT is built around K2’s Aspen Microblock wood core, which is reinforced with K2’s recycled titanal H Beam and Flax Shield, a combo that gives the ski power and dampness while maintaining its snap. The Speed Rocker profile features a short rise in the tip for quick engagement, paired with camber and a flat tail for precise finishes. A 14.9 m turn radius (in 177 cm) makes it ideal for short to medium-radius arcs, and the construction ensures stability no matter how hard you push it. With sustainable materials like FSC-certified wood and bio resin, it’s also a step forward in performance with purpose.

Things to consider:

This ski is built for quick turns, speed, and edge hold, and is not designed for off-trail exploring or slower, casual cruising, and prefers making mid- and short-radius turns as opposed to long, arcing ones. It thrives on firm snow and aggressive input.

Fit & sizing considerations:

These ski true to size. Choose longer for more stability at speed, shorter for quicker transitions.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?
Wasn’t a huge fan of this ski. I felt like the ski was too wide underfoot for the construction and design of the ski (would benefit from being narrower). This causes it to not be playful or agile in softer snow/bumps.
For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?
Soft groomers. Demanding ski where the operator needs to be accurate and intentional with what they want to the ski to do, otherwise it doesn’t really respond well.
What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?
Advanced. I think an intermediate skier would not enjoy skiing on this ski.
If you could change anything about these skis, what would you change and why?
Make it narrower. I bet at 72ish underfoot this could be a really fun frontside carver.
