DESCRIPTION

The 2026 K2 Mindbender 106C is a playful, surfy, all-mountain freeride ski built to float through powder, pivot through trees, and still hold an edge when things firm up. Light on your feet but stable when you need it, the 106C is perfect for skiers who want freeride performance without the weight or stiffness of metal.

Why we like it:

It blends float and maneuverability in a way that keeps things fun, especially when you're hunting soft snow or skiing more creative lines.

Who it's for:

Intermediate to advanced skiers who want a lightweight, versatile ski that thrives in softer snow and doesn’t mind mixing it up across the mountain.

Highlights:

With a 106 mm waist and All-Terrain Rocker profile, the 106C is wide enough for storm days but nimble enough for mixed conditions. K2’s Spectral Braid and Carbon Boost give the ski torsional strength and rebound without adding bulk, while the Aspen Veneer core keeps the flex smooth and consistent. It’s got the playful personality you want for off-piste skiing, but still feels composed when you're linking turns back to the lift.

Things to consider:

The 106C leans playful and light, so if you're looking for a charger that eats up high-speed, tracked-out snow or steeps, you may want to look at something with metal like the Mindbender 108 Ti. The 106C is ideal for a more nimble, finesse-driven approach to the mountain.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis true to size. Size up for more float and high-speed stability, or down for tight trees and quicker turns.

True to size. I’d probably go a size down for Eastcoast but good size for me out West!

Thoughts
A variety of terrain. It did well on hard pack and corn. I imagine it would be good in powder!
Good for what it’s made for.
Overal Impression
Super buttery but stable. Easy turning for a wider ski. Needed to stay on top of it or I got kicked back in bumps but I think that was the length. Love letting it run!!! Base graphics are sweet!!
