What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

These were very quick to edge to edge and responsive, very maneuverable and snappy. I was impressed with how well they held an edge on ice for how light they are. Quite fun to push in a carve although you don’t get a lot of response/snap/energy return at the apex of each turn.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

These are a great all mountain option for the east with how quick they are to put on edge; didn’t get to test them out on anything but groomers due to conditions but I could see them being really fun and playful in moguls without being too much to handle.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

I think they’re probably pretty light and forgiving for a more intermediate skier, but fun for advanced and higher too.

The top sheet was fiiiiree. I got first tracks (like literally first chair on Gondi) on Perry Merrill on St Patty’s Day with these and got some pretty glorious turns as the sun came up over mid-mountain, even with the weird snow.

Just right. Bigger turns were just as easy as small turn and it got on edge easily and not too heavy.

These skis feel like they would be fun in bumps, and they did well making short and medium radius turns on Perry Merrill.

Bumps and blue cruisers.

Intermediate to advanced intermediate. A stronger skier would probably overpower these.

These skis were light and easy to turn. The turns were not super energetic and the ski, overall, didn’t wow me.

The Santa Ana is a very playful ski. It was easy to ski through icy moguls and handled a variety of turn shapes really confidently. It is a light weight ski that has more stability than you would expect for its weight. The 82 waist makes it an approachable ski for all types of skiers! It actually feels like it skis wider under foot.

Great all mountain ski due to it weight and quickness.

Fun! Not a lot different than the 97 but since the 97 has a bit more flotation I'd prefer that to this as an all around ski.

I really loved this ski! Some changes from last season making it a little more narrow underfoot. This is the perfect everyday, all-mountain ski! Easy to maneuver and control turns. Love the design too!

Very versatile and would be great in all terrain from greens to blacks and moguls to trees. Wouldn’t be the best for the rare powder day.

Good maneuverability, very responsive and good for carving. Not the most stable but we are on slushy corn. Length felt a little short, I was on 167cm and would want to try sizing up for more stability. They felt good overall at speed and fun for carving. Colorful graphics were a plus! Good intermediate ski, I would like to try it out in other conditions.

I would like a little more stiffness in the tip, felt a little chatter when trying to charge through turns.

This is a great front side ski for groomers. Skied like a SL skis for those that can carve a quick small ski.
