What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

I’d own this ski for sure, I’ve always loved the Santa Ana and I think the 92 is the most versatile width. I feel like I can really lay it over reliably edge to edge but it’s forgiving and playful enough to make some fun quick turns though. I will say, she’s not nearly as playful as some others in the 90s range like the ARV which I find I can still reliably carve on.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

East coast!

It’s hard for me to speak for the beginner, but this ski definitely suits a former racer!

As someone who skis on Santa Ana’s from 2021, I was surprised at how light they felt. Still a very versatile east coast ski.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

I would ski from groomers to bumps and trees on these.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Strong intermediate and above. I think they are forgiving and could be skied lazily or they could be really turned over and piloted by someone stronger.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

Didn’t take any getting used to. The ski felt easy to maneuver and very playful with a quick pivot. However it wasn’t entirely stable at faster speeds, it wouldn’t be my tops choice for groomer runs just because it felt a little sloppy in holding an edge.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

Honestly, I would bring it out for a more playful day, maybe some glade/mogul action. Not for hard fast conditions, especially for heavier or more aggressive skiers.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Since the ski was easy to feel out right in the first turns, I would recommend for women who don’t come from a competitive race background. Then it would be a perfect all around ski! For women pressing a little harder on the gas pedal, I would recommend it as a playful woods ski!

Relaxed these days! I ski a lot with my kiddo and tend to be more mellow than when I was younger, with fewer adventures off trail. I also ski alone a lot so am reluctant to adventure much alone.

The Santa Ana is always a favorite of mine. It’s a heavy ski, but what you get in return is a ton of stability and grip, so if that’s what you’re looking for, this ski will deliver.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

Groomers, bumps, woods, really anything. These are a true quiver killer for a strong skier that didn’t mind the extra weight, they do everything great.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Advanced to experts are going to be able to access the power of this ski best. It demands your attention and isn’t a ski for those who prefer to daydream while they’re skiing.

My first impression of the Nordica Santa Ana 92 was that the length felt spot-on and very comfortable right away.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

The Santa Ana is very versatile across groomers and mixed conditions, with solid performance in firm snow and variable terrain. All Mountain.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

The Nordica Santa Ana is a strong, approachable ski that will work well for progressing intermediates while still offering enough stability and performance for more advanced skiers.

Anything else you want to tell us about your experience on these skis?

This ski felt really well-balanced and easy to ski. It was easy to stay parallel and felt smooth and stable at speed, with minimal chatter in firmer conditions. The length felt ideal, which added to the overall confidence and control. While I personally prefer a slightly heavier, more damp ski, this still felt solid and capable without being demanding. Overall, a very versatile and confidence-inspiring ski that would work well for a wide range of skiers.

The first impression is that they have a very pretty design, and they are a solid option for all conditions.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

This ski seems very versatile, it handled well on hard packed & icy conditions, and it is solid at holding an edge but would be great in the woods too since it is fairly easy to ski and turn. It would probably hold up well in deep powder too.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

I would recommend these for advanced to expert skiers, it's a high end performance ski, designed for someone more skilled to ski.

Loved the pretty graphics and shape of the ski. It was a bit heavy, but that also helped to make it feel more stable.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

This ski felt fun and playful from the start. It wasn’t a true carver, but it had an easygoing, relaxed feeling that made it enjoyable to just cruise around on.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

I’d recommend it for all-mountain resort skiing, especially for days when you want to noodle around the hill and have fun rather than lock into carved turns all day. At 92 mm underfoot with a larger 16.5 m turning radius, it feels more comfortable in a variety of terrain than in tight, aggressive carving situations.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

This ski is great for an intermediate to advanced skier who values a playful, relaxed style. It’s a good match for someone who wants versatility and fun over precision carving performance.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

There seems to be a bit of a battle going on between the geometry of the tip and the tail. The tip wants to release out of turns sooner than the tail and it makes for an interesting ride. It’s almost too soft in the tip and too rigid in the tail. Not a great balance. It was very stable although a bit sluggish edge to edge.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

These are good for groomer laps and chop.

Intermediate to advanced.

If you could change anything about these skis, what would you change and why?

I’d say that this ski needs to be reworked so that the geometry in the tip and tail is more compatible.

I really enjoyed this ski. It felt very durable in unusable conditions. Even when the snow got slushy it felt like it got me through the worst of it.

Since we really only had groomers available, it did really well but I can definitely see it working well across the mountain.

I thought this was appropriate for my level and something I can grow into as I keep getting to advanced levels.

If you could change anything about these skis, what would you change and why?

I liked it more than my current skis so I wouldn't change anything about it at the moment. They felt right and are probably going to be a ski I choose to buy in the future.

It's a nice, midweight all mountain ski. It was responsive and cut into the hill pretty quick. Fun to ski, felt fast and stable.

Good all mountain ski. Performed well on groomers and bumps. Not super wide so might not be best for powder skiing but not too heavy either so could work ok in the woods.

Intermediate. They were easy to maneuver and not as heavy as some of the other all mountain skis I tried.
