2027 Salomon QST Blank Team Junior Skiswith K2 Reverb Boots and Poles

Adventurous groms who follow their friends into the trees will get along with the Salomon QST Blank Team. This youth freeride ski pairs a playful twin-tip shape with a real all-mountain backbone, so it floats on storm days and stays composed when the snow gets tracked out. Progression happens fast on a ski that says yes to side hits and soft snow instead of fighting them. We paired the QST Blank Team with the K2 Reverb ski boots because of the Reverb’s accessible feel and friendly flex. It provides a comfortable fit, allowing progressing youngsters to focus on technique and skill-building, without the distraction of foot discomfort.

Who it's for:

Ambitious young skiers who already follow their friends off the groomed run. It suits confident intermediates and better, particularly kids skiing trees, soft snow and natural features rather than staying on the trail.

Things to consider:

This is stiffer and heavier than most junior all-mountain options, so a lighter or less confident child will find it a handful. Skiers who spend most of their time on groomers would get more out of something narrower and softer.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Freeride skis usually go a touch longer than a groomer ski for float and stability, but with a young skier that has to be balanced against strength. Take the length matching the child's height and ability today rather than the one matching the skiing they hope to do in two winters. The Reverb is built on a youth-specific last designed to support developing anatomy. It’s roomy without being loose, and the fully heat moldable liner can adapt over time for a better long-term fit as feet grow.
