DESCRIPTION

The 2026 Volkl Blaze 94 with Tyrolia TX 10 Bindings continues to impress as an ultra-versatile, lightweight ski that’s just as ready for inbounds fun as it is for skintrack missions. Whether you're popping through trees, exploring bowls, or heading out for your first tour, the Blaze 94 offers responsive energy and quick handling in a playful, intuitive package. We paired the Blaze 94 with the Tyrolia TX 10 in order to maintain the ski's light weight feel while incorporating safety, performance, and reliability. The TX toepiece offers a 180° release and efficient re-centering of the boot, relieving strain on your knees for a full day of fun.

Why we like it:

It’s light without feeling twitchy, playful but still precise—a rare combination that makes this ski a standout in both the resort and the backcountry.

Who it's for:

Intermediate skiers will love its approachable feel and room to grow, while advanced riders will appreciate its agility, grip, and all-terrain performance. Ideal for anyone looking to keep their quiver simple and their options open

Highlights:

Volkl’s 4 Radius Drive design gives the Blaze 94 incredible turn shape adaptability, whether you're linking short, tight turns or opening it up on steeps. The Multilayer Green Wood Core keeps things light without skimping on strength, while elastic PU inserts in the tip and tail mute vibrations and lower swing weight for easy pivots in tight terrain. A Titanal Binding Platform underfoot delivers solid edge hold and boosts confidence on firmer snow. Tyrolia really packs a lot of great tech into the TX 10 binding, including some of their best and most effective safety featres. The TX toe offers a 180° release, and precise and rapid re-centering of the boot, helping to improve performance while reducing the load on your precious knees. The SXG heel is easy to step into, something which lighter skiers will especially appreciate. With GripWalk compatibility and a sleek design, the TX 10's are ready for your next adventure.

Things to consider:

The Blaze 94 trades brute-force power for finesse. If you're mostly skiing chop or hammering fast groomers, you might prefer a heavier, damper ski with more metal.

Fit & sizing considerations:

These skis run true to size. Stick to your standard length for a balanced ride.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?
Another great option for women skiers from Volkl. Easy to turn, lighter underfoot than the Mantra womens line, which makes it more forgiving and versatile on the hill. Really enjoyed this ski in the bumps and softer snow.
For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?
Such a good ski for the whole mountain and for all day skiing as its lightweight and very maneuverable. Excellent in bumps and trees as well the groomers.
What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?
High intermediate to advanced, because of the light weight and multiple turn radius its appropriate for a wide range of skiers looking for a fun, playful option!
If you could change anything about these skis, what would you change and why?
Nothing.
