2027 Armada Antimatter 84 R Skiswith Dalbello Boots and Poles

The Armada Antimatter 84 R is built to offer balanced all mountain performance for those looking for their first pair of skis. An 84 mm waist gives this all-mountain ski enough quickness for groomers and enough float for a soft-snow detour, while a reinforced edge and a tough topsheet survive repeated tunes and rough handling. EM10 bindings provide reliability and safety. Every skier who clicks in gets an approachable ski that turns easily and builds confidence from the get-go. We paired the Antimatter 84 R with the Cabrio 90 MV boot because they're a progression friendly boot that offers a great blend of comfort and performance. Dalbello's unique three-piece design allows the boot to flex off the tongue, giving a smooth and intuitive feel that offers a boost of confidence to skiers still fine tuning their skills.

Who it's for:

Skiers buying their first pair who want balanced all-mountain performance. It suits beginners and early intermediates who ski groomers mostly and want the option of a soft-snow detour.

Things to consider:

Durability-first construction adds a little weight compared with a premium all-mountain ski, and a strong skier will find the ceiling before long. Covering a bit of everything also means it trails a purpose-built carver on firm snow and a wider ski in deep snow.

Fit & sizing considerations:

First skis are easiest to manage in shorter lengths, which keeps turns quick and stopping straightforward. Because the binding plate adjusts across a wide range of boot sole lengths, the ski length is what matters most at purchase. This is a medium-volume boot at heart, with the last measuring 101mm. Standard mondopoint sizing applies, so pick your usual shell size rather than adjusting for the width.
