2027 Armada ARV 84 Junior Skiswith SpeedMachine J Boots and Poles

Kids who want the run of the whole mountain get a ski tuned for it in the Armada ARV 84 JR. The twin-tip shape works forward and backward equally well, opening up switch skiing and easy park laps, and it's light enough for young skiers to swing while built tough enough to survive what kids actually do to skis. Groomed runs and jib park sessions live on the same pair, which is how a versatile skier gets made. We paired the ARV 84 with the Nordica Speed Machine Jr Boy’s ski boot because it provides young skiers with a solid blend of comfort, support, ad performance which with these skis will propel the development of their skills. Tailored for junior skiers who are progressing quickly, the Speed Machine Jr offers a secure fit with reliable performance no matter the terrain or snow conditions.

Who it's for:

Young skiers splitting their time between the whole mountain and the park. It fits progressing beginners through intermediates who ride switch and want one ski covering groomers and jib sessions equally.

Things to consider:

The all-round brief means it isn't the quickest carver on hard snow or the strongest float in deep snow. And because the build prioritizes toughness, the ski carries a little more weight than the lightest junior options.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Twin tips ski slightly shorter than their length suggests because the tail is turned up, so a kid can carry a touch more length here than on a directional ski. Balance that against park use, where a shorter ski is easier to spin and press.
