2027 Armada ARV 84 R Skiswith Rossignol Evo 70 HV+ Boots and Poles

Freestyle DNA meets rental-fleet toughness in the Armada ARV 84 R. The twin-tip shape skis forward and backward equally well and starts turns easily, so a skier can try a switch landing or a small air without a steep learning curve, while a rugged base, edge, and topsheet tune up cleanly between users. It's an accessible ski that gives newer skiers the confidence to hit the terrain park along with the rest of the resort. We paired the ARV 84 R with the Rossignol EVO 70 HV+ because this boot offers excellent performance and comfort, with a forgiving flex that’s supportive but not overwhelming, along with a comfortable liner that keeps feet happy and warm for distraction-free progression.

Who it's for:

Newer skiers who want the terrain park on the menu along with the rest of the resort. It's a good match for anyone in their first seasons who's curious about riding switch and trying small features.

Things to consider:

Toughness comes at the cost of some weight and refinement compared with a dedicated park ski, and a committed freestyle skier will outgrow it. Its all-mountain width also means limited float on a deep day.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Twin tips ski shorter than they measure, so a length at the skier's height is a sensible starting point for all-mountain use. Skiers planning to spend most of their time in the park can drop a size, which makes spins and presses noticeably easier. The EVO 70 HV+ accommodates a wide range of foot sizes with a forgiving, extra-roomy 104 mm last ideal for comfort-focused beginners.
