2027 Atomic Maven Junior Skiswith Comp J Boots and Poles

Graduating off beginner skis is what the Atomic Maven Junior is built around, the junior girls' entry into Atomic's Maven family. A softer flex and a lighter construction sized to junior bodies keep the ski easy to steer while still holding a line well enough to build real technique. Young skiers get the range to start exploring the whole mountain rather than staying on familiar runs. We selected to pair the Maven with the Rossignol Comp J Girl’s ski boots because of its comfort and reliable performance that it provides for beginner to lower intermediate skiers. Its soft flex, easy-to-use buckle system, and cozy liner, make these boots the ultimate match for these skis and skiers who need a reliable and user-friend boot that will help to improve their skill anywhere on the mountain.

Who it's for:

Girls who have finished with rental gear and first-time skis and are ready to build technique across more of the mountain. It suits developing skiers at a beginner to intermediate level who want the Maven's all-mountain character in a size that fits.

Things to consider:

The soft flex that makes this ski easy to steer also means a heavier or more aggressive young skier will overpower it and want the adult Maven sooner rather than later. It leans on-piste too, so genuine powder days sit outside its brief.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Size to the skier rather than to a chart built for adults, and keep the ski shorter while technique is still forming, since a short ski turns more easily and builds confidence faster. Growth is worth planning for, but buying two sizes ahead makes the ski harder to control now.
