What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

A burly, bruiser of an all mountain ski. Even in the 176, the Anomaly 88 is unflinching at speed even through rough conditions.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

It works great as a pure groomer ski, which is where I would ski it. Trees and bumps will be high effort, but this ski can definitely do it.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Advanced or above. Experts and hard chargers will find a lot to like here with basically unlimited high end performance.

Anything else you want to tell us about your experience on these skis?

An all mountain missile. If you want a ski to crush groomers and rail turns at high speeds, look no further. Supple, strong, and heavy, will blow through all in front of them while not being completely unmanageable. I see why they are so popular.

A solid, versatile ski.

This ski can follow you anywhere on the mountain. It’s stiff enough to lay down some big carving turns but responsive enough to play around on the shoulders or in the trees.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

This ski is geared more towards an advanced skier who likes to ski all over the mountain. Less experienced riders may find the stiffness challenging, and those who prefer staying on piste may not need the extra waist width.

I have skied the Brahma for many years. The Anomaly felt very familiar. I skied both the 88 and the 84. I like both skies but prefer the 84.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

This ski is truly a quiver killer. If I could only ski one ski all season it would be the Anomaly 84 for sure.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

The Anomaly 88 is such a fun ski with a very high performance level. It's smooth, powerful, and sophisticated yet it also has just enough rocker and taper to make it enjoyable in an all-mountain situation.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

The Anomaly 88 is 100% an all-terrain ski. It works great on groomers but then is surprisingly agile and amenable to softer snow, more technical zones, and even some powder.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

I find this to be more of an expert ski than advanced. It has a very high end ceiling, but not a very low floor. You need a certain skillset to fully enjoy this ski although some progressing skiers will certainly appreciate the stability.

This was a great option in spring bumps due to the blend of power and mobility.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

One of the most fun all-mountain frontside carvers out there! Crazy amount of energy and rebound at the finish to the turn. That energy mixed with the torsional stiffness and vibration damping combines into one heck of of a carver. There is enough tip and tail rocker to make them maneuverable in the bumps and trees so that's how they separate themselves from similar skis like the Mantra 88, Enforcer 88, and MX 88. Incredibly versatile carver!

The definition of an all-mountain ski, although it does specialize in carving.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

One of my favorite skis in the ~90 mm category with metal. Actually, probably my favorite. Strong, stable at speed, carves really well, but they really woke these things up in off-piste situations compared to the old Brahma. Love it ripping carves on groomers, but then you can take it into bumps, trees, and other more variable terrain and conditions without having to work too hard. I know some people think they dumbed it down compared to the Brahma, but I would argue the opposite. They made it a better all-mountain ski and while it might not be quite as strong as Brahmas, the net gain of overall performance outweighs that for me.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

Super versatile for different terrain. Groomers, bumps, trees, even could handle some open, western terrain with low snow conditions.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

I used to always say the Brahma was an expert-only ski, and I think this is close, but I also think it opens it the possibilities for advanced skiers and even some strong, athletic intermediates.

At first I didn't like the 2027 graphics, but they are growing on me.
