2027 Burton Family Tree Full Nelson Snowboard

The Burton Family Tree Full Nelson is a directional powder board built to charge the deep snow and playful terrain of British Columbia's backcountry and resorts. It blends surfy float with the stability and edge hold to open it up on steep, high-speed lines.

Why we like it:

It floats and slashes like a dedicated powder board yet stays composed and predictable when you point it into steeper, faster terrain, making it a capable one-board option for deep days.

Who it's for:

It suits advanced to expert riders who chase powder, tree lines, and open faces and want a board that can both surf and charge.

Highlights:

The Full Nelson uses Burton's Directional Camber bend, combining camber underfoot for pop and grip with a rockered nose that lifts and floats in deep snow. Its long sidecut holds a stable, predictable edge on steep, fast lines, while tail wingers, small steps in the tail outline, help the board release and boost float and glide when the snow gets deep. The Super Fly II 700G dual-species core keeps it light and lively, and Dualzone EGD orients the fiberglass to add edge hold and response where you need it most. A sintered WFO base keeps it fast, and the Channel mounting system lets you set your stance back for even more float.

Things to consider:

With a powder-focused directional shape and stiffer freeride flex, the Full Nelson is built for deep snow and big terrain rather than park riding or switch-heavy days.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The Full Nelson is a directional powder board that rides best with a setback stance, so many riders can choose their normal all-mountain length for a versatile feel or size down slightly for a surfier, more maneuverable board in tight trees. Riders chasing maximum float and stability on open powder faces can size up. Wide sizes are available for riders with larger boots.
