2027 DPS Lotus 112 Skis
SKU SL11227The 2027 DPS Lotus 112 brings back one of the most iconic powder shapes in modern skiing history under a refreshed name, evolving the long-running yellow 112 platform with a new tip shape, flex profile, and full carbon construction. It's a wide, rockered, deeply tapered powder ski with a relatively short turn radius for a ski its size.
Why we like it:
The yellow topsheet alone is worth the price of admission for anyone who's been around skiing for a while. This is one of the most recognizable shapes on snow, and DPS has updated it without losing the soul. The combination of a short turn radius and deep tip rocker means it pivots and slashes with an easy, surfy feel that wider skis with longer radii just can't match.
Who it's for:
Advanced and expert powder skiers who prioritize the feel of a true deep snow tool over all-mountain versatility. Ideal for skiers in deep-snow regions who want a dedicated soft-snow ski for storm days.
Highlights:
The Lotus build is purer and lighter than the all-mountain Kaizen, with a poplar wood core wrapped top and bottom in high-modulus full carbon laminate, and no metal anywhere. That keeps the ski lively and easy to maneuver in three dimensions of soft snow, without the dead, planted feel that heavier powder skis can have. The tip is heavily tapered with deep rocker for instant float, and the tail is a touch flatter and stiffer to give you something to push off when you stand up out of a turn. Rockwell 48 steel edges and a World Cup Race Base with factory-applied Phantom Glide treatment finish things off, so this is a ski that's set up to glide, especially on those tracked-out late-day powder runs when you need every bit of speed. The classic short radius gives the ski a slashy, surfy personality that's hard to find at this width.
Things to consider:
This is a dedicated powder tool. The big rocker and tapered shape mean it's not very engaging on firm snow, and the lack of metal underfoot means it's not the choice if you want to drive hard through chop at speed.
Fit & sizing considerations:
The deep rocker means the ski skis shorter than its stated length. Most skiers should size up versus their usual all-mountain length, especially if flotation is the priority.
