2027 Dynastar Menace 80 Junior Skiswith Rossignol Evo 70 HV+ Boots and Poles

Park laps and everything in between are the name of the game for the Dynastar Menace 80, a junior freestyle ski with real all-mountain range. The twin-tip shape skis backward as happily as forward, opening the door to switch landings, butters, and side hits, while a light, forgiving build means an imperfect landing doesn't end the run. Young freestylers get a ski that treats the whole resort as a feature. We paired the Menace 80 with the Rossignol EVO 70 HV+ because this boot offers excellent performance and comfort, with a forgiving flex that’s supportive but not overwhelming, along with a comfortable liner that keeps feet happy and warm for distraction-free progression.

Who it's for:

Young freestyle skiers who spend most of their time in the park but ski the rest of the mountain too. It fits progressing juniors working on switch riding, butters and side hits.

Things to consider:

Because the tuning favors the park, edge hold on firm groomers falls short of what an on-piste junior ski delivers. Its narrower waist also limits float, so deep days would be better served by the wider Menace.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Freestyle skis are best kept short enough to rotate underfoot, which for most juniors means sizing at or slightly below their height. Only go longer if the skier has started skiing fast enough that stability on landings matters more than spin speed. The EVO 70 HV+ accommodates a wide range of foot sizes with a forgiving, extra-roomy 104 mm last ideal for comfort-focused beginners.
