2027 Fischer RC Fire Skiswith RS 9 SLR Bindings

Frontside ski is shop shorthand for a ski meant to spend its life on groomed runs, and the Fischer RC Fire is a clean example of that category. It's fairly narrow underfoot, which sounds like a small detail but matters a great deal: a narrower ski rolls from edge to edge faster and takes less ankle strength to tip over, so turns happen sooner and cost less energy. The build prioritizes low weight over stiffness, the right call for a ski aimed at developing skiers rather than racers. Its tip rises gently off the snow to help each turn start on its own. For someone past the rental stage, skiing groomers confidently but not aggressively, it delivers real edge grip without the demanding personality of a stiffer ski.

Who it's for:

Skiers past the rental stage who ski groomers confidently but not aggressively. It suits developing skiers who want real edge grip without a ski that demands to be driven.

Things to consider:

Light and narrow means no float and limited composure as the pace climbs, which keeps this firmly on prepared runs. A skier with race ambitions is shopping in the wrong part of the range.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Stay near your own height and this ski behaves as designed. Dropping a length is worth considering only if you ski short, quick turns almost exclusively, since the ski is already fast from edge to edge and going shorter costs stability you'll notice at speed.
