2027 Head Joy Easy JRS Junior Skiswith Comp J Boots and Poles

Learning to turn should feel like play, and that's the job the Head Joy Easy JRS was given. This girls' beginner ski runs light and short with a relaxed shape and junior-tuned geometry, so young skiers steer it instead of being steered by it. The JRS 4.5 binding is sized for younger kids and growing feet. Early turns start with almost no effort, which is exactly what keeps a new skier coming back for another run. We selected to pair the Joy Easy JRS with the Rossignol Comp J Girl’s ski boots because of its comfort and reliable performance that it provides for beginner to lower intermediate skiers. Its soft flex, easy-to-use buckle system, and cozy liner, make these boots the ultimate match for these skis and skiers who need a reliable and user-friend boot that will help to improve their skill anywhere on the mountain.

Who it's for:

Girls at the very start, from first day on snow through early linked turns. The short lengths, light build and relaxed shape suit small bodies that don't yet generate much force.

Things to consider:

This is a learning tool with a ceiling. Once a young skier starts carrying speed or wanting to carve, the soft flex washes out and it's time to move up. The narrow on-piste shape also makes soft snow hard work.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Fit the ski to the child now rather than to the child next winter, keeping the length between chin and nose height while turns are still being learned. The JRS binding covers a useful spread of boot sizes, so it's usually the ski, not the binding, that gets outgrown first.
