2027 K2 Recon X 110 Boa Ski Boot
SKU KS261925Pick your flex, not your budget. That's the pitch behind the K2 Recon X 110 BOA, a single-BOA boot that K2 sells in three different flex ratings off the same chassis. The 110 sits in the middle, comfortable territory for advancing intermediate and advanced skiers who want serious all-mountain capability without the commitment to a 130 flex. Single-BOA simplicity, medium-volume fit, and a fully heat-moldable build keep the boot accessible.
Why we like it:
Single-BOA closure is faster to operate than buckles, and it wraps the lower shell more evenly. For skiers who don't need the dual-zone Zonal setup, this hits a real sweet spot of performance and price.
Who it's for:
Advancing intermediate and advanced skiers building toward the harder stuff. The 110 flex is forgiving enough for technique work but with enough structure to reward better skiing as it develops. Average-volume feet are the target audience here.
Highlights:
One BOA dial does the work on the lower shell, giving the Recon X line its signature quick-on, quick-off character without sacrificing how evenly the closure system distributes pressure. The TPU shell pairs with a polypropylene cuff for a slightly softer flex than the all-TPU Zonal models above it in the line. The P3 liner sits two tiers below the AF Zonal's P1, but it's still fully heat moldable and works well for skiers who'll get a bake done on day one. The same Fastfit instep, GripWalk soles, and Ramp 4 stance angle as the Zonal boots carry over here. A 40mm tapered velcro strap finishes the package.
Things to consider:
The single-BOA closure doesn't give you the same forefoot/lower-leg independence that the Zonal models do, so skiers with mismatched volume between the toe box and the cuff opening may want to step up to the Recon Zonal 120 BOA. The Recon X also doesn't include forward lean or cuff alignment adjustability that the Zonal-tier boots get.
Fit & sizing considerations:
Last width runs 97-100mm, putting this in medium-volume territory. Pick your usual mondo size. A bootfitter visit is still worth it to lock in the heat-moldable liner and shell, especially if you're planning to ski this boot a lot.
