The Ride Moderator is a directional all-mountain board built for riders who spend most of their time charging hard on the front side of the mountain but want enough float for the powder days that show up. The flex sits in the medium-to-stiff range, the shape is set back to keep the nose up, and the response is locked in once the board is on edge. Versatile enough for everyday riding, capable enough for hard charging when the conditions ask for it.

Linear Carbon 5 in the binding zone delivers a level of edge-to-edge response that punches above the price point, and the Linear Quadratic Sidecut tightens turn initiation while letting the tail run straighter for stability. The Hybrid Glass and Bio-Resin layup keeps the board feeling alive without any of the nervous chatter that camber-dominant builds sometimes deliver.

Who it's for:

Advanced and intermediate riders who like to charge groomers, hit chalk, and dip into the trees when conditions allow. The directional shape and setback inserts make this a board for riders who want a consistent forward stance rather than someone looking to ride switch all day. Aggressive intermediates progressing toward expert riding will find the Moderator grows with them rather than holding them back.

Highlights:

The Linear Quadratic Sidecut is the shape detail worth pausing on. It blends a tighter entry radius with a longer focus radius and a straight tail section, so the board hooks into a turn easily, holds the apex with confidence, and releases cleanly without locking the rider into a single arc. The profile is Tapered Directional Extra Camber, which keeps positive camber underfoot for grip while raising the tip and tail enough to prevent hooking on variable snow. Underneath the topsheet sits a Performance Light Core (Aspen, Bamboo, and Paulownia), bordered by Slim Walls that take vibration out of the ride and reinforced with Linear Carbon 5 plus a Carbon Array 3 stringer pattern for power transmission edge to edge. Single Impact Plates sit under the binding zone to protect against compression breaks, and the Hybrid Glass layup (triaxial top, biaxial base) tunes torsional response without overbuilding the board. The Sintered base, finished with a Stone Ground tune, runs fast off the wall and holds wax through long days. The plant-based Bio-Resin in the layup also makes this one of Ride's more environmentally conscious builds.

Things to consider:

The flex sits stiffer than mid-range, so progressing intermediates may want to size short. Park-focused riders should look at the Berzerker for a softer poppier feel, and powder-first riders will probably enjoy the Warpig's volume shift more than the Moderator's traditional shape. The Wide variants top out at 165W, so very-large-footed riders are well covered.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Sizes true to length, with regular widths from 144 to 162 and three Wide options (157W, 161W, 165W). Boot size 11 US and up generally points to the Wide variant, though heavier riders may also benefit from the extra width regardless of foot size.
