2027 Ride Shadowban Snowboard
The 2027 Ride Shadowban with K2 undefined Bindings is a softer-flexed all-mountain setup that does not ask you to be on the gas all day. The shape is a directional twin on true camber, so the tip and tail behave much the same while a small setback leaves a bit more nose for soft snow. Friendly flex, mellow response, and a shape that covers groomers, easy off-piste, and the occasional park lap.
Why we like it:
The Quadratic Sidecut runs symmetric entry and exit radii with a tighter middle, which flatters intermediate technique without dumbing things down for a stronger rider. Pre-Cured Glass and Roll-In Construction give it a clean, quiet feel underfoot that is unusual at this flex.
Who it's for:
Intermediate riders building toward advanced who want a board that will not punish a missed turn but still has real performance underneath. Riders splitting time between groomers and easy side-country lines will get good use out of the directional twin shape.
Highlights:
Standard Camber underfoot is the foundation, keeping the contact points engaged for predictable edge hold and clean pop out of turns. The directional twin matches tip and tail dimensions with only a small setback, so it feels symmetrical riding switch while keeping the nose where soft snow wants it. A Quadratic Sidecut arranges three radii symmetrically, longer at the contacts and tighter through the middle, for adjustable turn shapes. Damping comes from Slimewalls wrapped around an aspen, bamboo, and paulownia Performance Core, with carbon spread underfoot to firm up the response. K2's Module Chassis provides a stable and responsive foundation, while the AM1 Highback offers a supportive yet forgiving feel for all-mountain riding. The combination of the SD1 Ankle Strap and BetterWrap Toe Strap delivers secure, even pressure across the boot for improved comfort and control. A 3 degree canted footbed with EcoHarshmellow Pods enhances alignment and impact absorption, and aluminum ratchets ensure smooth adjustments. A forward lean block allows riders to fine-tune response to match their riding style.
Things to consider:
The flex is mid-range mellow, so harder-charging riders will want something stiffer. The directional twin feels like a real twin, but the small setback can still read as asymmetry to a dedicated switch rider.
Fit & sizing considerations:
Pick your usual size, and larger-footed riders should default to the Wide. Going up a size adds stability for charging, while dropping down gains pivotability in trees and bumps.
