2027 Rossignol Nova 2 Women's Skiswith XP 10 Bindings

Every women's line needs a starting point, and the Rossignol Nova 2 is where the Nova family begins. It's a groomed-run ski for women new to the sport or coming back to it after years away, and it's built accordingly. The shape runs narrow and the flex stays soft, which is the combination that makes a ski easy to turn at slow speeds. That matters enormously early on, because most of the frustration in learning comes from fighting a ski that's stiffer or wider than the skier can actually control. This one doesn't fight back, but instead instills confidence in a friendly and forgiving package.

Who it's for:

Complete beginners, and women returning to the sport after enough years away that it counts as starting over. The narrow, soft build suits anyone who wants the ski to cooperate at the speeds they're comfortable with.

Things to consider:

Soft and narrow is quickly outgrown by someone improving fast, and the next Nova up is the natural step. Take it off the groomed run or push the pace and it runs out of composure.

Fit & sizing considerations:

New skiers should size down rather than up, taking a length that reaches somewhere around the chin. This is a ski to get you through the learning phase, so buy for the skiing you're doing now.
