DESCRIPTION

Entry-level bindings have a reputation for being the part of a kit that the rider replaces first, but the Rossignol Works is built to outlast that pattern. It is an all-mountain binding aimed at the beginner-to-confirmed progression window, with a glass-reinforced chassis, an adjustable highback, and a full-length padded feelplate that punches well above its price tag. The Works rides smooth, soaks up chatter, and gives newer riders a stable platform to build skills on, while staying lively enough that an experienced rider can use it as a guest binding or a second-board setup without feeling shortchanged.

Why we like it:

The full-length High Impact TPE feelplate flattens out the rumble that newer riders feel from chunder and icy patches, and the build skips glue and EVA entirely, which makes the binding easier to service and easier to recycle at end of life.

Who it's for:

Beginner and intermediate riders who want a forgiving, no-fuss binding that will follow them well past their first season. The Works is a strong choice for someone progressing from rentals into their own setup, and it works just as well as a low-cost second binding for experienced riders who want something reliable on a rock board or guest setup. Riders chasing maximum edge response or a pro-level chassis should step up to the Cuda or Diva.

Highlights:

Construction starts with a PA6 baseplate reinforced with 30 percent glass fiber, which gives the chassis the stiffness it needs for clean power transmission without driving up the price. The DualBack highback is built from the same PA6 family and includes adjustable forward lean, so riders can dial in a more upright or aggressive stance as they progress. Ghost straps are 3D-molded TPU with a 3D length adjuster, which makes initial setup quick and keeps the strap conforming to the boot through hard cranks on the ratchet. The buckles are Backlight PA66 with 45 percent glass fiber for a smooth ratchet feel and long-haul durability. Underfoot, the full-length feelplate is High Impact TPE for dampening, the heel pad is 76 shore A TPE for shock absorption, and an adjustable TPE gas pedal handles boot-to-board compatibility across the size range. The build is intentionally free of glue and EVA, which simplifies service and end-of-life recycling.

Things to consider:

This is an entry-level all-mountain binding, not a freeride or freestyle specialist, so riders looking for aggressive carve response or wide-stance freestyle butter-ability will outgrow it. The Cuda is the natural step up in the Rossignol line when the rider is ready for more edge response and a canted footbed. There is no canted footbed here, which is worth knowing if a rider has previously dialed into one.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Three sizes cover the range. Small fits US men's 5.5 to 7.5, Medium fits 8.5 to 10.5, and Large fits 11.5 to 15.5 (with disc rotation for size 14.5 and up). Standard sizing applies, so pick the size that matches the boot rather than sizing up or down. Riders right at the boundary between two sizes are usually better off sizing down for a tighter heel hold.
