DESCRIPTION

Women who are ready to leave the rental wall behind and put down some real time on the mountain will find a lot to like in the Salomon Bliss. It's an accessible women's all-mountain board with a freeride-inspired tapered directional shape, smooth turn initiation, and a forgiving feel that won't punish the kind of mistakes that come with progression. The Bliss puts cork-rail damping and recycled materials into a board priced for riders still figuring out what they want long term. The result is a confidence-building daily driver that handles groomers and the occasional soft-snow day with equal ease.

Why we like it:

The Cross Profile camber makes the Bliss feel composed on edge without locking the rider into one turn shape, which is huge for riders still developing technique. Recycled materials throughout the build, including the BIAX MD Fiberglass and Royal Cork Pads, also speak to Salomon's sustainability push.

Who it's for:

Progressing intermediate women who want a board that grows with them are the core audience here. The medium-soft flex makes linked turns and edge transitions feel intuitive, and the freeride-leaning shape opens up off-trail exploration when the rider is ready for it. It's also a fair pick for an advanced beginner looking to commit to her first real board after a few seasons of rentals.

Highlights:

The shape is a Tapered Directional, with the nose set wider than the tail and a 20 mm setback stance that nudges the rider's weight back for better float when the snow softens up. The Cross Profile rocker-camber-rocker layout gives stable edge hold on groomers while keeping the contact points lifted enough to forgive rough technique. Inside is an Aspen and Popster wood core with BIAX MD Fiberglass, and the sidewalls carry Royal Cork Pads for damping. An Extruded base is the practical choice at this tier, easy to keep in shape with minimal tuning. The Bliss uses recycled and bio-based materials throughout, and it ships with a Quadratic sidecut for predictable turn shapes.

Things to consider:

More aggressive riders, or anyone already comfortable charging hardpack at speed, will outgrow the Bliss reasonably quickly. The Wonder is a natural step up in the Salomon women's lineup for riders who want a stiffer feel and freestyle versatility. The Extruded base is also less performance-focused than a sintered one, so dedicated speed days on rock-hard snow aren't really this board's wheelhouse.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Standard sizing applies. Pick your usual length for general all-mountain riding, or drop a size for tighter trees and easier handling in mixed conditions. The size run tops out at 155, so very tall riders or those with bigger boots may want to look elsewhere in the lineup.
