2027 Salomon S/Pro Alpha BOA 105 Women's Ski Boots
SKU L49298800A snug 98mm last and a women's-specific flex profile make the Salomon S/Pro Alpha BOA 105 W one of the more performance-oriented women's all-mountain boots out there. Built around the same ExoDrive construction and Powerlink lower pivot as its men's counterpart, this is a stiff race-ready boot tuned for skiers who want precise edge engagement and direct power transmission without the harshness of a 115. The cuff-mounted BOA dial replaces a top buckle, giving micro-adjustable upper-shell control alongside two lower-shell buckles.
Why we like it:
The third cuff overlap design is genuinely novel; it wraps the ankle in a way that traditional two-overlap cuffs can't match, and the heel hold that comes from it is noticeable from the first step in.
Who it's for:
Strong advanced women who push the pace on groomers and venture off-trail confidently, with narrower or lower-volume feet. The 105 flex is plenty for most expert women but won't punish skiers who occasionally back off the gas. Foot shape matters here: this is a snug 98mm last, so high-volume feet may struggle without bootfitting work.
Highlights:
The S/Pro Alpha BOA 105 W is built on a polyurethane shell and cuff with ExoDrive construction, which uses a third cuff overlap and a metal Powerlink piece to tie the cuff and shell together for direct energy transfer. The lower pivot point shifts down compared to traditional designs, putting more cuff surface against the boot for sharper steering response. The S/Pro CF Expert liner inside is heat moldable and built around Talyn 4D construction with an edgeless Custom Tongue 2.0 for endless personalization, all paired with a Light² Footbed. A 45mm Energyzer Velcro power strap finishes off the top, while the BOA Fit System on the cuff handles upper-shell tension and two aluminum buckles handle the lower shell. GripWalk soles come premounted, and a 6mm back spoiler is installed at the factory. Cuff alignment is screwed for adjustability.
Things to consider:
This 98mm last is firmly performance-oriented; women whose feet need more room should consider the S/Pro Supra series instead. The 105 flex is stiff enough to demand good technique and active driving; less aggressive skiers may find the 95 W a more forgiving option.
Fit & sizing considerations:
The 98mm last runs low-volume, so women with narrow or medium-narrow feet are the target audience. At this flex and price point, working with an experienced bootfitter is well worth the investment; ExoDrive construction and the Custom Shell HD process give a good fitter plenty of room to fine-tune.
