DESCRIPTION

Two BOA dials replace the traditional buckle system on the S/Pro Supra Dual BOA 130, and the result is a freshly engineered take on what high-flex all-mountain boots can do. Salomon's flagship Dual BOA design pairs a medium-volume last with ExoWrap shell construction and a stiff race-ready flex for skiers who want micro-adjustable precision instead of cam-lever clamping. The lower BOA dial fine-tunes forefoot and instep wrap while the upper dial dials in cuff hold, giving advanced and expert skiers a level of fit control that's hard to match with buckles alone.

Why we like it:

The two-dial setup is the headline here, but the Custom Shell HD process is what makes this boot truly customizable; Salomon's bootfitting program lets a fitter punch and grind this lower shell in about ten minutes for genuine, lasting changes.

Who it's for:

Expert skiers and very strong advanced skiers who ski hard and want fit dialed in down to the millimeter. The 100mm last sits squarely in medium-volume territory, so this boot works best for skiers with average-volume feet who don't need a roomy fit but also don't need the snug squeeze of a 98mm performance last. Skiers transitioning from a race-style boot looking for a touch more comfort without giving up power will find a lot to like.

Highlights:

The shell is polyurethane reinforced with ExoWrap technology and a Sensifit Insert, which together wrap the foot more evenly than a traditional overlap construction. The cuff is also polyurethane with ExoWrap, and the whole thing flexes as a more unified unit thanks to that wrap-style build. Inside, Salomon's flagship S/Pro CF Expert liner with Sensitive² Footbed brings cushy foams and Talyn fabric for snug foothold and easy customization; both shell and liner are heat moldable. The 50mm Energyzer Claw power strap clamps the top of the cuff for serious top-end drive. Closure is two BOA Fit System dials in place of buckles entirely; one micro-adjusts the lower shell wrap, the other the cuff. GripWalk soles are factory-mounted (ISO 5355), with screwed cuff alignment and a 6mm back spoiler premounted for finer forward-lean tuning.

Things to consider:

A 130 flex is genuinely stiff and demands an active skier to flex it properly; lighter or less aggressive skiers will find the S/Pro Supra Dual BOA 120 a better match. The Dual BOA closure is fantastic for fit precision, but skiers who like the satisfying click of buckles or who frequently ski in deep cold should know that BOA dials require dexterity to operate with thick gloves. The Energyzer Claw strap also takes a moment to learn versus a standard velcro cam.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The 100mm last is medium-volume and works for the majority of foot shapes. With a 130 flex at this price point, working with a pro bootfitter is well worth the investment; the Custom Shell HD process unlocks meaningful shell modifications that can transform fit if needed.
