2027 Tecnica Mach 120 HV Boa Ski Boots
SKU 101868G2406BOA closure and a wide-volume last share top billing on the Tecnica Mach BOA HV 120. The high-volume option in Tecnica's BOA-equipped all-mountain line uses a polyurethane shell, a roomy 103mm last, a 120 flex, and a single BOA dial on the lower shell paired with traditional cuff buckles. Advanced skiers with wider feet get an aggressive boot that wraps the forefoot more evenly than any 4-buckle setup can manage.
Why we like it:
The combination of a 120 flex and a BOA-controlled lower is a smart pairing for skiers with wider feet. The dial lets you tune the forefoot wrap to your foot shape without having to compromise between buckle positions that don't quite line up with your high spots.
Who it's for:
Advanced skiers with high-volume feet who want real performance and aren't willing to suffer for the privilege. The 120 flex puts this in serious territory, and the BOA wrap means high-volume feet don't have to fight pressure points to get there.
Highlights:
Underneath the closure system, the boot is full Tecnica DNA: PU Quick Instep shell, bi-injected PP cuff (no backspine on the HV cuff, accommodating the wider build), Ecodesign Performance C.A.S. liner, and GripWalk soles. The closure is what differentiates this whole sub-line. Two micro-adjustable aluminum buckles handle the cuff while the BOA Fit System wraps the shell, distributing pressure across the instep instead of concentrating it at two buckle pivots. A 45mm Velcro power strap keeps the cuff locked, and the C.A.S. shell can be punched, ground, or heat-molded to fine-tune fit further. The T-Sport cuff-to-shell connector ties the upper and lower together for more direct power transmission.
Things to consider:
The 120 flex sits firmly in advanced territory, and the HV chassis is genuinely built for wider feet. Skiers with normal-to-narrow feet will fit better in the MV variant, and skiers stepping up from intermediate boots may find this stiffer than they're ready for. The BOA dial is also new to many skiers, and there's a small adjustment period in how you set up the boot.
Fit & sizing considerations:
Tecnica's 103mm last lands in high-volume territory by design. The BOA system gives some wrap adjustment range on the lower, but the boot is fundamentally for wider feet. At this flex level, working with an experienced bootfitter dials in the C.A.S. shell and liner customization.
