DESCRIPTION

Buckes and BOA unite in the Tecnica Mach BOA HV 110, with a BOA dial wrapping the lower shell and traditional buckles handling the cuff. Built on a high-volume last with a polyurethane shell and a 110 flex, it's an all-mountain boot aimed at wider feet that want a more even, pressure-free fit through the forefoot. The result is a stiff-flexing all-day boot that doesn't fight you when you've been on the hill for six hours.

Why we like it:

The shell BOA changes how the lower wraps your foot. Instead of two buckles pulling hard at fixed points, the cable distributes pressure evenly across the instep, which means high-volume feet get a real fit without the hot spots that buckles can create.

Who it's for:

Advanced skiers with wide or high-volume feet who want an aggressive all-mountain boot but have struggled with pinching or pressure points in traditional 4-buckle designs. Skiers who prioritize comfort across long days without giving up the stiffness needed to drive a modern ski.

Highlights:

This is the high-volume version of the Mach BOA 110, built on a 103mm last with a polyurethane Quick Instep shell and a polypropylene cuff. The closure setup pairs two micro-adjustable aluminum buckles on the cuff with the BOA Fit System on the shell, which is the heart of the boot, micro-adjustment in tenths of a millimeter at the lower zone instead of the more binary feel of a buckle. The Ecodesign Sport N.F.S. Adaptive liner is heat-moldable and slightly more comfort-leaning than the Performance liner found on the higher flexes. A 45mm Velcro power strap and GripWalk soles round out the package. The C.A.S. shell adds further fit precision through punching, grinding, or heat molding.

Things to consider:

A 110-flex boot lands in the upper-intermediate to advanced range; lighter or less aggressive skiers may find it stiffer than they need, while truly expert hard chargers may want to step up to the Mach BOA HV 130 within the line. The BOA dial is also a different feel than buckles, so skiers who like the tactile click of metal-on-metal may take a session or two to adjust.

Fit & sizing considerations:

This is a high-volume boot at heart, with a 103mm last. The BOA system gives some adjustable range on the lower, but the boot is built around a wide foot. Skiers with narrow feet will be better served by the LV or MV variants. A bootfitting session is recommended at this flex level to get the most out of the C.A.S. shell and liner.
