DESCRIPTION

Narrow feet have a true performance home in the Tecnica Mach1 LV 120 TD2. The low-volume version of Tecnica's redesigned Mach1 line is built on a 98mm last around a polyurethane shell, a stiff polypropylene cuff, and the brand-new T-Drive 2.0 connector. Skiers with low-volume feet who can drive a 120 flex get a precise, race-derived feel that doesn't require sizing down or layering up socks to make a wider boot work.

Why we like it:

The 98mm last is a real thing on this boot, not marketing speak. For skiers who've spent years with bunched-up heel material or a sloppy forefoot in MV boots that didn't quite fit, the LV chassis is a revelation in heel hold and edge feel.

Who it's for:

Advanced skiers with genuinely narrow feet who want serious frontside performance. Hard-charging skiers in this group have often had to compromise on either fit (MV boots) or stiffness (older softer LV options), and this boot resolves both.

Highlights:

Built around a 98mm last that's narrower than the MV, this Mach1 keeps the same redesigned 2027 chassis: polyurethane Quick Instep shell, bi-injected PP cuff with backspine, and the new T-Drive 2.0 system linking the cuff to the lower for a more consistent flex across temperatures. The liner is Ecodesign Performance C.A.S. with Celliant thermal-reflective material and a floating tongue, fully heat-moldable and trimmed to suit a narrower last. Closure handles via four aluminum buckles with lift-lock micro-adjustment and a 45mm Velcro power strap. GripWalk soles let you walk to the lift without slipping. The C.A.S. shell adds punching, grinding, and heat molding for further fit customization.

Things to consider:

A 98mm last is meaningfully narrow. Skiers with medium-volume or high-volume feet should look at the MV or HV versions of this same boot rather than trying to make the LV work. The 120 flex is also firmly in advanced territory, so newer skiers won't get the most out of it.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Standard mondopoint sizing applies. The 98mm low-volume last is the defining feature here, so try the boot on before buying if at all possible. A bootfitter session at this performance level pays back many times over the lifespan of the boot, and the C.A.S. shell gives plenty of room to fine-tune.
