2027 Tecnica Mach1 120 MV Ski Boots
SKU 101G06G0Skiers who don't want to commit to a 130 flex but still want a serious performance boot have a clear answer in the Tecnica Mach1 MV 120 TD2. The medium-volume option sits one flex tier below the flagship in the all-new 2027 Mach1 lineup, pairing a polyurethane shell with a polypropylene cuff, the new T-Drive 2.0 cuff link, and a 120 flex. The combination delivers a stiff frontside boot that's slightly more forgiving in cold weather and easier to flex when the legs are tired.
Why we like it:
Bi-injected PP cuff construction is the underappreciated win on this boot. The dual-density polypropylene cuff with the backspine reinforcement keeps the flex pattern smooth and progressive, with less of the sharp wall you sometimes hit at the top of a stiffer 130-flex boot.
Who it's for:
Strong intermediate to advanced skiers with medium-volume feet who want a real performance boot without the punishing top end of a 130 flex. Skiers who put in long days and would rather have a boot that flexes when their legs are tired than one that demands perfect technique all day.
Highlights:
The chassis follows the same blueprint as the 130 above it: polyurethane Quick Instep shell, the new T-Drive 2.0 cuff-to-shell connector, and a four-aluminum-buckle closure system. Where this boot differs is the cuff, which uses bi-injected polypropylene with a backspine instead of Grilamid and carbon, producing a slightly more forgiving feel that's still plenty responsive. The Ecodesign Performance C.A.S. liner adds Celliant thermal-reflective fabric and a floating tongue for instep customization. A 45mm Velcro power strap and GripWalk soles finish things out, and the C.A.S. shell can be punched, ground, or heat-molded for fine-tuning.
Things to consider:
A 120-flex boot still asks something of the skier, so true intermediates working on fundamentals may want to look at the Mach1 MV 110 TD2 within the same line. The 100mm last is medium-volume by design, so wider feet will fit better in the HV version.
Fit & sizing considerations:
The 100mm last is squarely medium-volume territory. C.A.S. shell and liner mean significant adjustability through punching, grinding, and heat molding. At the 120-flex performance level, working with an experienced bootfitter to nail the initial fit is the right move.
