Alps & Meters Twenties Women's Trousers
SKU 120002It was during the roaring 20s that skiing, which had been a practical method of winter travel across Scandinavia and Europe, evolved into a form of recreation. The first ski lift was introduced in Germany in 1908.. although the first chairlift won’t make an appearance until 1936 in what is now Sun Valley. The Alps & Meters Twenties Women's Trousers are an adaptation of the trousers first introduced during the 20s, trim and tailor made for sport, which replaced the earlier ski skirts which worked, and worked surprisingly well, for cross country styled skiing, but didn’t provide the range of motion or comfort needed for alpine. The Twenties Trousers have the sleek styling of tailored sportswear: elegant and simple, fashioned from luxurious Italian stretch merino wool with windproof and waterproof protection0 for the woman who wants to look good and feel great whether they’re carving a turn or raising a glass après ski. A four way stretch moisture wicking lining with stretch inner waist and boot gaiters to seal out the snow give these a full range of motion and comfort while maintaining that sleek, clean, styling so prized by stylish skiers. Leather protective boot panels, and zip gussets with a flared cuff accommodate a variety of boot styles0 it’s practical modern meets 20s sophistication for a silhouette that’s lean, clean, and lovely.
