Kahtoola MICROspikes
SKU KT0218In April of 2018 Jim Baird, and his dog, set out on a solo 125 mile trek across Baffin Island in the Arctic wilderness. The route featured jagged peaks and miles of smooth ice, and he wore Kahtoola MICROspikes through the entire trip. If they’ll make it through the Arctic, they’ll make it down your driveway! MICROspikes are designed for hiking, trail running, ice fishing.. and getting up and down a Vermont driveway in winter. Used primarily on trails, ice, packed snow, and rocky trails with mixed snow and ice, these are versatile and tough traction for your feet. Stainless steel spikes welded to chains give you grip with flex to support the natural movement of your foot to shed snow with every step. Stretch Elastomer harness with a toe bale and heel tab stretch on over your boots, and will remain stretchy down to -30F, so you can wear these with confidence even in the bitter cold. You’ll have twelve spikes per foot, 3/8” long (1 cm), think of them as little foot fangs biting into ice and snow with a vengeance and a grip that will keep you secure even on a slope.
