Karbon Kryos Men's Insulated Jacket
SKU K6124Warmer and puffier than the rest of Karbon's men's alpine jackets, the Karbon Kyros Men's Insulated Jacket pairs a quilted, baffled look with a fully waterproof stretch face fabric. Blown synthetic insulation is mapped heavier where you lose heat, so it wears like a down puffer on frigid days and still handles snow like a ski shell.
Why we like it:
It's rare to find a puffer silhouette with a waterproof face, and the Kyros gives you the quilted look without giving up storm protection.
Features and Functions:
Insulation is the focus here: Thermore Ecodown, a loose synthetic fill that lofts like down, is blown into quilted baffles and mapped heavier over the core where you lose the most heat. Karbon calls it a hybrid construction, pairing those baffles with Quadra Stretch face fabric and its Karbonite waterproof laminate. Waterproof zippers seal the front and chest pocket. The removable hood is insulated, 3D adjustable and fits over a helmet. Underarm zips dump heat, a removable snow skirt keeps powder out, and cuffs combine a hook-and-loop closure with an internal stretch cuff and thumb loop. A quilted back-warmer panel sits inside.
Fit and Sizing:
Articulated stretch fit with a fuller, lofted feel than the Karbon shell-style jackets.
Bottom Line:
Best for skiers who run cold and want the warmest jacket in the Karbon men's lineup for January chairlifts.
