A click-in loop that locks onto Leki's Trigger pole grips is the headline on the Leki WCR CORE TR Jr Gloves. These junior race gloves bring a hard-wearing printed shell, padded knuckles and a leather palm into a waterproof, insulated build. Young racers get the pole feel and finger dexterity they need to work on hand position, with protection for the knocks that come with gate training.

Why we like it:

Separate fingers make it easier for kids to handle buckles, goggle straps and bib zippers between runs without pulling their gloves off.

Features and Functions:

Protection starts on the back of the hand, where reinforced foam pads cushion gate knocks, and silicone grip pads on the palm help hold the pole. The palm itself combines goat leather with a tough synthetic, while the shell mixes Leki's abrasion-resistant Ceramic print with a stretch softshell. A SOFT-TEX insert blocks water and wind, and warm synthetic fill with a quick-drying lining holds heat on cold training mornings. The integrated Trigger loop means no strap to fumble with at the start gate.

Fit and Sizing:

Junior Race Fit gives a snug, performance-style feel scaled for young hands. A neoprene Flex Cuff tucks under a race suit or jacket sleeve.

Bottom Line:

Suited to U12 through U16 racers who want the most dexterity and pole feel from a warm, protective junior race glove.
