Leki Wyldbird TR Ski Poles

Freeride days call for a pole that can take a beating, and the Leki Wyldbird TR Ski Poles deliver with a tough aluminum shaft and a trigger grip that links directly to compatible Leki gloves. A compact basket handles firm snow and swaps by hand for a larger powder basket when the snow gets deep. It's a durable, versatile pole for skiers who split their time between groomers and off-trail terrain.

Why we like it:

The basket swaps by hand in seconds with no tools, so you can switch to a powder basket in the parking lot on a storm morning.

Features and Functions:

High-strength HTS 6.5 aluminum gives the Wyldbird TR a single-piece shaft built for the knocks of freeride skiing. Leki's slim Pro G grip pairs with the Trigger 3D system for a direct connection to compatible gloves or the included Trigger Frame Mesh Strap, and a wide triggering angle makes clicking in and out easy. The Cobra Alpine basket can be traded by hand for Leki's Big Mountain basket, which keeps the pole from sinking in deep powder, and a carbide steel tip set inside the shaft grips firm snow and ice.

Bottom Line:

A rugged, adaptable freeride pole for skiers who want one setup for both hardpack and powder days.
