There's beauty in simplicity, and that is certainly true in the case of the 2021 Line Pandora 84. There's no need to complicate things when you know your target market and are confident in your ski building techniques. For women who are looking to cruise the front side of the mountain and want a bit of adventure in their ski lives, the Pandora 84 is a fantastic ski. There's a strong argument to be made that the mid-80's underfoot is the best place to be for a blend of front side and all-mountain skiing. When combined with a relatively simple, straight-forward, and efficient construction, the Pandora 84 should be on a lot of skier's lists for a ski to try in the upcoming season. With a ton of strengths and very few weaknesses, the Pandora 84 strikes a great balance between recreational skiing and high-performance ripping. With a graphics refresh for 2021, the Pandora 84 remains structurally similar to last year's ski, allowing fans of the ski another year of friendly and fun performance in a true all-mountain format.

In many ways, the build of the 84 is even better than the wider skis in the Pandora line. Built with an Aspenlite wood core, the skis are incredibly light and easy to maneuver. If you're looking for something quick and able to make any turn at any time, the build of the ski is right where it should be. Weighing 1339 grams per ski, they're definitely on the light side, so if you're looking for the ability to wiggle through the trees or smash through the tighter mogul lines on the planet, this 84 is the ski to be on. In the 158 cm length, the skis generate a 13-meter turn radius, which is on the short side, again, another nod to the front-side performance of the ski and its ability to complete a turn at any time. This is a great confidence booster for ladies who are looking for a modicum of comfort and precision out there on the hill. With a capwall construction, the bulk of the ski is a vertical sidewall, but the tips and tails have a cap build to them, increasing the quickness by decreasing the swing weight.
As the narrowest ski in the Pandora line, the 84 has the least amount of taper shape and rocker to its profile. In terms of taper, there's a small amount-less than the 94 for sure-and this allows for a longer effective edge in the ski. The longer the effective edge, the smoother the ride. More taper equals better flotation, but that doesn't really have a place with a "narrow" ski like this. Remember when 84 underfoot was unheard of? Same theory applies for the rocker profile of the ski. Deeper rocker lines equate to better flotation, but these 84's have pretty minimal rocker, allowing for a more precise and exacting feel when you're engaging the turn. For most skiers who spend the majority of their time on groomed and smooth terrain, this is a way better option versus a dramatically rockered ski that's going to flutter on the manicured snow.
Most skiers aren't going to need much more performance than these Pandora 84's can provide. It's actually quite impressive how Line can pack so much into such a simple design. From the shape and profile to the build and weight, the Line Pandora 84 is a wonderful example of an easy ski with a high-end feel and ceiling.
