The 2022 Nordica Santa Ana 93 is the true definition of an all-mountain ski. This is your one-ski quiver option for advanced and expert skiers who just want to shred and not think about what skis they're going to bring out on any given day. Any coast, any mountain, any turn, any time, the Santa Ana 93 has what you need to get the job done. They are equally at home carving clean and round turns on the groomers as they are floating through the fresh in a deep back bowl. There's a whole lot to like about these skis, and a lot of it has to do with the construction. Built with a performance wood core, the skis get Nordica's Terrain-Specific metal which allows for the ski to be stable and powerful on the groomers and floaty and fun in the softer snow. By allowing for some of the wood core to be exposed along the edges, it makes the ski easier to turn and smear in the fluff, while the central chord of the metal keeps the stability and smoothness to a high level. Skiers looking to get the best of all worlds in the ski universe should take a square look at the Nordica Santa Ana 93.

Danielle Nichols skied on the 165, noting that it is true to size. She gave the ski a top score of 5 out of 5 for playfulness, with 4's right behind for overall impression, versatility, torsional stiffness, edge grip, forgiveness, quickness, and maneuverability. While true to size, I can't help but wonder if she'd prefer the 172, as she did give the stability category a score of 3. Either way, Danielle states that the Santa Ana 93 is "super-fun! Very playful. Compared to the narrower 88, I found this to be just a little bit bigger and stronger. This makes it better for crud, slushy bumps, and more chopped up snow conditions." There is a bit of crossover with these Santa Ana skis, so it's not surprising to hear one compared to the other, especially as there's not a whole lot of difference between 88 and 93 at the end of the day.
Kristi Brown was on the 172, noting that it was a perfect length, and she can't help but insert the fact that she "loves the graphics!" That is, after all, a very important and fun part of skiing! Kristi had a lot of high scores for her Santa Ana 93, with 5's out of 5 given for overall impression, versatility, torsional stiffness, edge hold, forgiveness, playfulness, and stability. 4's were given for quickness, maneuverability, and flotation, so these high scores show a consistent and top-performing quality from Nordica. Kristi states that she "Loves the versatility and feline prowess of the Santa Ana 93. East Coast Keeper - one ski quiver that does it all! Jill of all ski terrain (minus hard bumps but who skis those anyways!!!). Floats with finesse, dropping into turns with ease and allows you to breeze through mix terrain effortlessly. Advanced skiers will love this one ski wonder every day every way." Well, I like to ski hard bumps, but I get the point--there aren't many skis that set out to tackle that niche of the market.
Versatile to the nth degree and with a top-level of performance, the Nordica Santa Ana 93 is a fantastic choice for advanced and expert skiers who are looking for a one-ski quiver for all of their needs and wants. There's just so much to like about these skis, from their carving ability to their floaty personality, all the way to the precision and poise, the Santa Ana 93 is a unique ski that truly does it all.
