Welcome to our 2024 Snowboard Test! This is our 2nd year producing the most comprehensive snowboard test on the planet. While some of the aspects of this test will be familiar and returning, we’re very excited to present our new format, including tester cards and published scores. We’ve never gone full-out and published all scores before, mainly to keep the test on the subjective side of the spectrum. That theory has remained the same, but we want to give more insight into the testers and how their individual experience on a board influenced their scores and feedback. This year, we have tested more snowboards than ever before, featuring over 70 boards from 8 different brands. Frankly, if you can’t find the kind of ride you’re looking for here, it likely doesn’t exist.

In the past, we’ve incorporated selected scores and quotes into the body of the copy, but this year we’re changing it up. Tester Cards have been invented to take the place of this information by providing a very specific and unique set of data per snowboard. This will give readers better access to how a tester feels about a particular board, complete with quotes, feedback, and yes, scores ranging from 0-10 in a variety of categories. A word of caution here—please avoid trying to turn subjective scores into quantified data. This will negate a tester’s actual acquaintance with the board, turning what should be a multi-dimensional, romantic, and somewhat emotional experience into a binary event. Keep in mind that low scores do not equate to bad snowboards. Park-specific boards will likely score low in torsional stiffness and carving abilities, for example.

Whether you’re searching by brand, category, or through a tester, we’re sure there’s a great snowboard for you in here. Once you get to a certain zone of shape, style, or construction, the differences become less and less important, and for a lot of riders, sizing, pricing, graphics, and availability become the next most-meaningful step. From there, communication and interaction factor into the equation—please feel free to reach out with questions and comments, and we’ll be sure to get back to you. Grab your computer, phone, or tablet and get ready to explore countless hours of snowboard information and footage. Each board has a writeup, pictures, and a video to go along with it, so make sure you have some quality time set aside to really dive in and get ready for the 2024 riding season!

BROWSE BY BRAND:

2024 Men's Snowboards

From park and pipe to wide and surfy, there are a lot of different options in the men’s snowboard category. Each brand has a slightly different way and manner of building, shaping, and styling their rides, and snowboarders have more choices now than ever before. It’s amazing what’s out there, from huge surf-inspired powder floaters to stiff and responsive carving boards, all the way to completely symmetrical twin boards that inspire creativity and style.

2024 Women's Snowboards

While some women’s boards feature shorter lengths and slightly more flexible constructions, for the most part, these boards are primed and ready to hit the snow with a vengeance. The ladies kind of get the best of all worlds because most of the rides out there are unisex, so you get more choices when it comes to shape, style, and size in your board. There’s a lot of variation here, from wide and floaty to stiff and precise, giving you the most possible options and the highest chances of success when searching for your next ride.
