The Salomon Dancehaul Snowboard seems to rank as a 2024 favorite amongst our testers. That says a lot about this board, and we’re definitely not surprised. A great performer in all snow conditions, the directional Dancehaul makes an excellent accomplice for aggressive freeriders seeking a no-nonsense ride in all snow conditions. Though the Dancehaul’s exaggerated shape makes it more of a niche board, its smooth flex pattern and Rock Out Camber profile give it the boost of versatility that every all-mountain deck requires. Basalt stringers continue to add to the Dancehaul’s dynamic ride by giving it a bit more pop and control at higher speeds. Engagement increases, and so does liveliness—making the Dancehaul a top contender for unbeatable freeride performance without compromise.

As was previously stated, the Dancehaul’s dramatic shape puts it into more of a niche category. Aggressive freeride snowboarders who have no interest in freestyle will absolutely dig this deck. The longer nose and shorter tail makes the Dancehaul an excellent navigator in deeper snow conditions, but it certainly limits its ability to be ridden switch. Non-freestyle riders will have zero qualms with this, especially if they tend to favor pow days over park sessions. With that being said, it is a great second board for all-mountain and park snowboarders who already have that playful park twin packed into their quiver. A daily-driver for those who seek aggressive turning performance in all snow conditions, the Dancehaul is a true freerider’s dream.
