2027 Nordica Enforcer 94 On Snow Ski Review
About this time each winter, we have spent a lot of time on new or next year’s product, and it’s an absolute blast. From time to time, though, it’s important to revisit some of the skis that frankly have gotten us to this point. In this case, we went back and skied the 2027 Nordica Enforcer 94 to give us perspective on where we’ve been and where we’re going. Other than a new graphic, the Enforcer 94 returns unchanged, so we’re now in year three of the current Enforcer generation. It’s safe to say that this is a benchmark ski in the high-performance all-mountain category, and after a few runs on it, it becomes very clear as to why.
This ski is all there. Built with a performance wood core consisting of poplar and beech, we get two sheets of metal and a pulse core laminate in the underfoot zone. The wood core is thick and strong, which pairs well with the big time titanal layers. We’ve seen the pulse core in some of Nordica's frontside skis with Double Core construction, and it definitely brings a smoother and quieter feel to the Enforcer line as well. In the 185, the length that I skied, the Enforcer 94 sits on the scale at about 2,130 g/ski. That’s pretty hefty, and it shows when it comes to stability and power. The flex is stiff, the core is thick, and the metal is robust. From a construction perspective, this is as rugged as it comes in the all-mountain realm, and it sure shows when it comes to performance.

As a powerful ski in the mid-90's, this ski’s shape has some freeride notes and DNA that make it versatile and well-rounded, albeit for those who are putting in the required work. While nobody would accuse the Enforcer 94 of having a playful shape and style, there is some rocker here in both tips and tails to go along with moderate taper, especially given the directness of the on-snow performance. With sidecut measurements of 128/94/116, the Enforcer 94 generates an 18-meter turn radius in the 185, but somehow it feels even shorter than that. The tips and tails are slightly more rounded than other skis in this range, and with slightly longer rocker, there is that soft snow capacity that some other competitors don’t quite have. Overall, this ski’s shape allows for and creates many different turn shapes and styles while the burly build makes it confident and secure on anything firm and icy.

When it comes to on-piste performance, it’s hard to find a more rewarding 94 in a carving format. We’ve talked about it for years—this ski just loves to engage and rip through a carve. The consistency in power is crazy, and the Enforcer delivers insane confidence regardless of conditions or speed. It doesn’t seem to matter if the snow is smooth, soft, firm, or chunky—the Enforcer 94 cuts through it without a care in the world. Actually, it does care; it cares about fun and excitement. The ski handles variability and adversity way better than other skis and allows skiers to feel like they’re part of the process rather than holding on for dear life. If you’re skilled, strong, and balanced, you will get everything you need out of this ski and more. The most fun part of the ski is launching out of one carve and landing forty feet down the hill on two edges to start the next turn. This ski does it better than most.

One of the best parts of the Enforcer 94 experience is its versatility, especially as it pertains to softer snow and bumps. While it’s not an exceptional mogul ski in terms of flexibility and ease of use, it can navigate a bump field with sophistication, and it excels in more spaced or less-formed moguls. If the line is not consistent, the skis will be, and that’s a mark of a high-performance and expert ski for sure. Many different turn shapes and styles can be achieved on this ski—again, with skier input being a large caveat here. While you don’t have to be “on it” all the time to get good performance, you can push it as hard as you can and the ski will still have more to offer. It’s this type of limitless energy and power that makes it an incredibly valuable tool for expert all-mountain skiers who are looking for confidence and poise above all else. While powder and deep snow performance is not a strength here, it’s still not a bad floater, which is surprising given the weight and stiffness. The rocker profile and taper shape pick up a lot of slack in the powder department.

Skiing returning benchmark skis like this from time to time is a great reminder of what’s been going on out there for years, and it illuminates both the direction of the ski industry as a whole as well as the history from whence it came. For expert skiers who are looking to top out their skills and leave nothing on the table, the 2027 Nordica Enforcer 94 is a classic ski with a traditional feel and a modern twist. While it’s a beefy ski for most skiers to use every day, there is certainly no lack of performance or power in any turn at any time.
