2027 Ski Test Behind the Scenes: 2027 Kastle Sublime 93 Skis

Kastle’s all-new Sublime 93 surprised us with its rock-solid edge grip combined with its all-mountain versatility and notable ease of use. Built with Kastle’s Twin Core consisting of a softer and harder wood to blend strength and agility, we also get two sheets of metal, a milled tip for lighter swing weight, and Hollowtech 2.0. The 182 features an 18.2-meter turn radius and just tips the 2000-gram mark at 2020 g/ski. It felt right at home on our feet and didn’t feel too heavy nor too stiff. At 93 mm underfoot, this ski is certainly right at home in the all-mountain realm, and it’ll be interesting to see how it stacks up against other benchmark skis in this range like Nordica Enforcer 94, Blizzard Anomaly 94, and Head Kore 94 Ti.

We found that the Sublime holds its own and then some. While it’s slightly more approachable than the most demanding skis, it’s also a lot more fun and exciting. There’s no lack of grip, and we had it on some very firm snow, and the width allows for variety in turn shape and style, even putting a bit of playfulness in the mix. There’s just enough tail taper to make it a bit slarvy when flat, but when you get it up on edge the full power of the ski is readily accessible. This will make a great ski for those who are looking to put a priority on carving performance but in a wider bodied format. If you want to start your day on groomers and end up somewhere else, the Sublime 93 does a great job with the unexpected.
