The Ripstick 100 W with Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings strikes the ideal balance for ladies seeking a lively and playful all-mountain ski that excels in soft snow. Elan utilizes a combination of wood and carbon, along with an asymmetrical rocker profile, to give the Ripstick 100 an exceptionally nimble feel, facilitating effortless turns while still offering excellent grip on harder snow. We paired the 100 W with the Tyrolia Attack 14 GW because of the Attack’s light weight, reliability, and ease-of-use for all mountain and freeride skiers. Additionally, ample elastic travel and direct power transmission function to ensure these bindings cater perfectly to the needs of demanding freeriders.
Why we like it:
The Ripstick 100’s intuitive design makes it appealing to a wide range of skiers. Its energetic and responsive nature is complemented by a forgiving feel, providing a versatile and enjoyable experience on various terrains.
Who it's for:
This ski is perfect for those who prioritize performance in soft snow and seek to minimize weight. The Ripstick 100 W is an excellent choice for advancing intermediate skiers up to experts, offering an exceptional freeride-oriented all-mountain experience.
Highlights:
The Ripstick 100 W features Elan’s asymmetrical Amphibio rocker profile, which ensures smooth transitions from edge to edge for a quick and agile ride. The Tubelite Woodcore, with its integrated carbon layers, delivers energy and pop for a lively flex. Additional Carbon Rods enhance the ski's energy and stiffness, making it ideal for creative turn shapes in soft snow. With a low stand height of just 17 millimeters, the 2027 Tyrolia Attack 14 offers an impressively close connection to the snow, delivering precise power transmission and a confident, locked-in feel. The FR Pro3 toe piece allows for a full 180 degrees of boot release, enhancing safety in a variety of fall scenarios, while the AFS (Anti-Friction Slider) ensures reliable re-centering and consistent release characteristics. Built to withstand hard use, the Attack 14 combines durability with performance, making it a go-to option for aggressive skiers who demand trust in their gear.
Things to consider:
With a 100mm underfoot width, the Ripstick 100 W offers versatile all-mountain performance. However, skiers who predominantly stick to trails might prefer a narrower ski. Additionally, stronger or heavier skiers may find the Ripstick 100 W slightly too forgiving and might benefit from a ski with a more robust construction.
Fit & sizing considerations:
Size up for added stability if you are an aggressive or heavier skier; otherwise, these skis are true to size.
