DESCRIPTION

The Ripstick 100 W is the freeride-leaning one-ski-quiver of the women's Ripstick lineup. It splits the difference between the wider powder-focused models and the narrower frontside-oriented ones, landing at a width that's both genuinely capable in soft snow and still nimble enough for everyday resort skiing.

Why we like it:

It's a hard width to get right, and the Carbon Deck construction really delivers. The ski feels balanced and energetic, not too far in either direction; the Tubelite woodcore keeps things lively, the carbon rods add pop, and the whole package adds up to a ski that just works in a really wide range of conditions.

Who it's for:

Advanced and expert women skiers looking for one ski that can handle deep days, mixed snow, and groomers without ever feeling out of place.

Highlights:

Carbon Deck Technology is the construction story across the Ripstick line, and at 100 underfoot it produces a ski that feels remarkably balanced. The Tubelite woodcore is the foundation, giving the ski its trademark lightweight, energetic feel; carbon rods running along the length add the structural stability that lets the ski hold up when pushed; and UD carbon edge bands sharpen up the edge response so the ski genuinely carves when conditions allow. Flax fibre handles vibration damping naturally, smoothing things out without weighing the ski down. The Amphibio profile is Elan's distinctive shape, with rocker on the outside edge for easy initiation and camber on the inside edge for grip, and at this width it really helps the ski feel both floaty and locked-in depending on what you're asking it to do. SST slanted sidewalls keep edge transmission direct, and the sintered base is fast.

Things to consider:

At 100 underfoot this leans slightly toward the freeride side of the all-mountain spectrum, so if you ski almost exclusively on groomers, one of the narrower Ripsticks may suit you better. The non-metal build keeps the ski light and lively, but very aggressive skiers may want more damping than this layup provides.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis true to size. If you're between sizes and ski more aggressively or in bigger terrain, size up; if you ski tighter spaces, size down.
