DESCRIPTION

The 2026 Elan Ripstick 88 is the frontside instrument of choice when it comes to the Ripstick series. For those days where the snow is firm and fast, these skis are quite the companion to have on your feet. Light and nimble, the Ripstick 88 begs for high edge angles and quick turns from the first to last chair.

Why we like it:

Tremendous quickness and agility with a high carving performance ceiling. It’s low weight to carving ability ratio here is what’s special.

Who it's for:

Intermediate to expert level skiers who are on the lower end of the weight spectrum and have a preference for frontside carving.

Highlights:

Amphibio Rocker assists with smooth transitioning from edge to edge while the Tubelite Woodcore, Carbon Rods, and UD Fiber laminates keep the weight to a minimum, so you can charge all day long, while bolstering stability and reactiveness.

Things to consider:

Heavier and more aggressive skiers who intend to use these skis on firm snow may find that there is a slight drop off in terms of torsional stiffness and edge grip. Lighter skiers do not seem to encounter this drop, however.
