Why we like it:

The Ranger 90 stands out due to its well-rounded versatility, making it an invaluable tool for a diverse array of skiers. Its ability to perform reliably across different terrains and conditions highlights its usefulness as a go-to all-mountain ski.

Who it's for:

The Ranger 90 is ideal for progressing intermediates or less aggressive all-mountain skiers who need a dependable ski that can tackle any conditions.

Highlights:

Unlike its wider Ranger counterparts, the Ranger 90 features a full poplar wood core that balances lightweight construction with energy and stability. Shaped Titanal laminates underfoot extend into the ski's extremities to enhance vibration damping and torsional stiffness, providing excellent edge grip and composure on firmer snow. Fischer incorporates triangular cuts in the metal between the toe and heel of the binding to ensure a more even flex underfoot. Sandwich Sidewall Construction integrates a full-length sidewall to optimize power transfer to the edges, enhancing carving performance. The Freeski Rocker profile allows for agile maneuvering in both soft snow and on groomed trails. Things to consider:

The Ranger 90 lacks the beech wood core found in some of the wider Ranger models, resulting in a slightly softer flex. Skiers seeking top-end carving performance or high-speed stability might find better options in the ~90 mm all-mountain category with enhanced vibration damping and sturdier flex patterns.
