Brand new for 2025, the K2 Omen Team is an athlete inspired twin tip for the freestyle competition circuit as well as late night urban street sessions. Burly, durable and powerful, the Omen Team is intended to take a beating all season long in the name of progression. Its burly construction provides incredible stability for rutted out in-runs and high magnitude impacts on massive airs. Looking to go big? The Omen Team is the tool you need.
Why we like it:
The burliness and strength of the Omen Team are the standout characteristics to us as park skis take a constant beating and we feel as though these skis are up for the rowdiness.
Who it's for:
Advanced to expert freestyle skiers who like a stable and confidence inspiring ski that they can torment for seasons to come.
Highlights:
K2’s Aspen Micro Block core uses small stringers of aspen to provide composure and stability as well as forgiving flex pattern for a well-balanced feel. K2’s Spectral Braid fine-tunes the flex of the skis in specific areas to provide stiffness or suppleness in areas where it is most needed. The forebody and aft sections of the skis have a bit more stiffness for vibration damping and stability on landings while the underfoot zone has more torsional stiffness for edge grip on wind-blown firm snow. Triaxial Braided Core wraps around the core to boost energy and pop while also adding overall stiffness to the ski. Carbon Boost uses longitudinal carbon stringers woven into K2’s patented Triaxial Braid for pop and rebound. TwinTech Sidewalls are durable, full sidewalls that provide edge grip as well as protection against ski-to-ski impact damage. Bio-Resin adhesives used to hold the ski together is a green approach to construction to lessen the footprint of production.
Things to consider:
The 2025 K2 Omen Team is a sturdy twin tip and not necessarily well suited for freestyle skiers who are often pressing and buttering their way through the park. Something like the Reckoner 102 is better suited for those types of park skiers. The Omen Team is tailored more for freestyle competitors and skiers that like the biggest jumps their resort has to offer. Or for urban skiers who need durability above all else.
