DESCRIPTION

The 2027 Kastle MX 84 takes all-mountain carving to the next level with its power, precision, and energy. The 84 sits high on the list of top performers in its category with superior carving performance and even beer league racing applications. Quick edge to edge, smooth and composed, the MX 84 is lightning in a bottle that when harnessed is truly a spectacle to witness.

Why we like it:

The MX 84’s precision and quickness when carving makes it a needle in the hands of a true carving master.

Who it's for:

Advanced to expert skiers with a competition background and expertise in carving technique will get the most out of the MX 84.

Highlights:

The MX 84 features the innovative InfiniCore by Kastle, integrating strategically placed poplar and beech wood stringers. This design optimizes longitudinal and torsional flex for superior carving performance, with beech in the central area and poplar in the outer sections. Reinforced by nearly 2 full titanal laminates, the InfiniCore and metal ensures robust stability. Additionally, the MX 84 incorporates Kastle’s Hollowtech EVO, further reducing tip weight for enhanced agility. With Fast Grip Shovel and Tail, it maintains a long effective edge, delivering maximum grip on hard snow surfaces.

Things to consider:

The 84 can punish skiers without proper carving technique as its flex pattern and shape are not very forgiving of minor mistakes.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis true to size.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?
Smooth turning ski. Tail releases, no drag, narrower than what I would normally ski but not controlling like some narrow skis. Almost playful.
For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?
I would ski these on groomers but would not be afraid of taking them in the bumps.
What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?
Great for advanced intermediates that likes to carve it up.
Anything else you want to tell us about your experience on these skis?
First ski of the trial and I like it.
