2027 Blizzard Sheeva 9 Skis
The 2027 Blizzard Sheeva 9 with Marker Squire 11 Bindings is the most versatile, quick-footed, and energetic member of the Sheeva lineup—tailor-made for freeride-focused women who want one ski to take them everywhere. With just enough width to bust through crud and float in soft snow, yet narrow enough to stay agile on firm conditions, the Sheeva 9 hits that elusive all-mountain sweet spot. We paired the Sheeva 9 with the Marker Squire 11 because of the Squire’s high performance and dependability for lighter weight all mountain and freeride skiers. With a light weight construction and a safe, reliable release, the Squire 11 is a go to choice to keep performance high and weight low.
Why we like it:
The Sheeva 9 is confidence-inspiring when you’re pushing the pace, but still lets you smear, pivot, and have fun when the terrain gets more creative.
Who it's for:
Best suited for advanced intermediate to expert women skiers who want a freeride-style ski with all-mountain chops. Whether you’re charging through mixed conditions, slashing soft bumps, or navigating tight trees, the Sheeva 9 keeps pace with your every move.
Highlights:
At its core, the Sheeva 9 features Blizzard’s Trueblend Free wood core—a precisely tailored mix of beech, poplar, and paulownia—that creates strength underfoot and a more forgiving flex at the tip and tail. This design gives you grip and stability where it counts and forgiveness where you want it. FluxForm metal control arms run along the ski edges and into the tip and tail for enhanced torsional stiffness and damping, without muting the ski’s energetic personality. A generous rocker profile rounds out the package, offering float, edge grip, and a lively rebound through every turn. Marker’s Triple Pivot Light 2 Toe and Hollow Linkage Heel systems work in tandem to provide powerful energy transmission to the ski, allowing for maximum edge grip and control of the ski. Lighter weight skiers can rest easy knowing the Squire 11 will be easier than ever to step into thanks to a re-designed heel piece. Perhaps the most underappreciated feature of the Squire 11 is the anti-ice rail, which sits on top of the toepiece and can be used to scrape the sole of your boots clean before stepping in.
Things to consider:
The Sheeva 9 thrives under a skier who brings some creativity to their turns. If you prefer a more directional experience with maximum edge bite and traditional shape, you’ll want to look elsewhere.
Fit & sizing considerations:
The Sheeva 9 skis true to size, or even a bit short. If you’re skiing out West and looking for more float and stability, don’t hesitate to size up. East Coast skiers and those navigating tighter terrain will enjoy the responsiveness and agility of sticking with their usual length.
